Mixed Emotions

Hello everybody, how are you?

I've been quite busy these past few days. Just got my grades, went to school presentations (I'm starting a new school this autumn and I have to apply to a school like when you apply for university), I also started a photography class in school which I really like so far! Our home assignment for next class is to take a picture with 1.8 aperture and I think I have my picture, but I will see.

This upcoming week my school has their yearly big dance, which is kind of like prom but the class gets together first and eats fancy dinner and then the dance starts.
I think I've decided what I'm going to wear but I'm deciding between two dresses, one from Topshop and the other one from Forever 21, but I still have to find shoes. I bought a pair of shoes yesterday, from Truffle Collection (available on asos.com), which I was going to wear but I don't think they're fancy enough and when I tried them on with my dresses today I got really insecure and sad because I didn't think I was pretty enough and everyone would look better and have nicer shoes than me. Also both of the dresses are quite tight so I got really insecure about my body and got a little anxious but I hope it will be fine.

The yearly dance week there is a theme for every day, tomorrow (Monday) is an 80's theme, Tuesday rock, Wednesday sports, Thursday cozy and finally Friday is fancy Friday. So tomorrow I have to dress 80's -y and I'm not sure what I'm going to wear but I've decided my outfit for Tuesday.

But that's all for this blogpost, thanks for reading!

Love, Stella. <3

Ps. I'm also redoing my room so I'll make a blogpost about that soon like I promised :)

Exams and Photography

Hello lovely people, how are you all doing?
For this blogpost I just wanted to tell you about the last few days and show you a few photographs I've taken over the last few days.

I've been so busy the last two weeks, school just started last week and this week I had two final exams (they're normally in December but they got moved) and then one next week. Also the European Men's Handball Championship just begun today and the game between Iceland and Norway was so exciting, I even shouted a few times and jumped out of my seat. Handball is very big in Iceland and I used to play it when I was a bit younger.

The weather has been very variable this week sometimes it's great and sunny and sometimes it's windy and wet. But here are a few pictures I took on my way home from school about two days ago (Fyi the third one is grass not a crane like my mom thought haha)

This one I took the same day but in the evening

Thanks for reading, I hope you liked this blogpost, be sure to leave a comment if you did.

Vanilla and Raspberry Muffins

Hello everyone,
for this blogpost I wanted to share with you one of my favourite recipes. It's quick and easy but so good! I love the mix between the sourness of the raspberries and the sweetness of the vanilla.

For the recipe you will need...

150 g (5 oz) butter, softened
150 g (5 oz) caster sugar
175 g (6 oz) self raising flour
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
100 g (3.5 oz) raspberries, frozen (or fresh)

Makes 12

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4 and put 12 cupcake cases in a cupcake tin. If using frozen raspberries, which I recommend because they give more flavour and they're cheaper, put them in a bowl so they can defrost a little before they go in.
  2. Put all ingredients except the raspberries in a bowl and beat with a mixer or a wooden spoon until light and fluffy. Add in the raspberries and carefully stir them in with a spatula. Divide the mixture evenly between the cases.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden and firm to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
  4. Enjoy!

Hope you liked this blogpost and be sure to leave a comment if you did.
