Cinnamon Buns

For this blogpost I wanted to share with you a very simple and delicious recipe.

For the recipe you'll need:
2.5 dl. warm water
4.5 tsp. dry yeast
1/2 dl. sugar
75 g. margarine (butter will work fine as well)
450-500 g. plain four
Cinnamon sugar (just mix some cinnamon and sugar)

Icing:
2.5 dl icing sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp hot water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  1. Put the warm water in a bowl and put the dry yeast into the water and let it dissolve.
  2. Put the dry ingredients and the butter into the liquid (leave some flour to knead on the table).
  3. Mix with a spatula so all the butter mixes into the dough.
  4. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes in a warm place, you can wet a tea towel with warm water and cover the bowl with it.
  5. Heat the oven to a 180°C
  6. Knead the batter and flat it out into a rectangle shape, quite thick.
  7. Brush the dough with a little water and put the cinnamon sugar on top.
  8. Roll up the dough and cut into quite big rolls.
  9. Bake in the middle of the oven until light brown on top.
For the icing, mix everything together in a bowl and put on top of the rolls when they have cooled down.

Blue Neighbourhood

Is it possible to be in love with music/art? If it is then I'm definietly in love with Troye Sivan's work.

His music literally makes me speechless and it touches me on so many levels. It can make me feel alive, feel good, feel down, and even all at the same time. Like his Blue Neighbourhood trilogy (link below), I just can't. It honestly makes me want to cry, scream, love, and at the same time feel very warm inside. I can't really explain these emotions but they are so strong. He is such an artist and it is so visible in all his work. Although I have all these emotions his work makes me feel so good.

I used to really like One Direction, I was honestly one of those obsessed Directioners. And I did really like their music but never did it make me feel like this, and when I think about it not much music has. Only writing this post has gotten me shaking and I never thought music could get me so emotional. Have you ever felt like this about something?

I just wanted to share all these feelings with you and tell you what an inspiration Troye is to me and acknowledge his work. I hope you liked this post and please comment below what you think.

6 Tips On How To Survive Exams

Yes! I've finished all my exams this semester, finally. I did do quite well on all of them so that's good :)
So for this blog post I wanted to share my tips with you on how to survive through the exam weeks.

1. Turn off your phone, computer, iPad etc. whilst studying. Trust me on this one because these things are a time thief and a big distraction ;)

2. Buy snacks, something that gives you energy and makes you focus. I've discovered that chocolate raisins and salted peanuts are a great combo!

3. Organise yourself. Make check-lists with different colours and check off when you've finished going over a certain subject.

4. Exercise. It increases blood flow to the brain and studies have shown that it helps you study. You can even just take a 15 minute walk around the neighbourhood, that's what I did and it really refreshes your mind. I also went out and took some pictures and smelled the new leaves that just blossomed.

5. Reward yourself. Last year I made little post it notes that I hung them on the wall in front of my desk and I wrote rewards on all of them like: an episode of Friends,  15 min break, have a sweet, and other similar things, and if I read 10 pages or so I could get a reward.

6. Find ways to make studying fun! Try different ways of learning methods. You could try making a song to remember certain things or draw pictures, whatever really, just do what you think is fun and try to fold it into your studying.

Good luck!

Bit irrelevant to the subject but since summer is upon us I thought it fit :)

The Solvey Project

Last Wednesday I saw on Snapchat that Louis, AKA funforlouis, had landed in Iceland and him and Dave Erasmus were hosting a Solvey jam in Reykjavik! If you don't know what The Solvey Project is about then it's basically about hearing people's voices from all around the world who want to see and make changes in the world. But if you want to read more about it then click here or/and here.
Anyways me and my friend went to the jam and it was a very interesting thing to be a part of. Especially since Louis and Dave really inspired me, I felt like they were so determined to make a change in the world. After the jam the guys went to meet the president of Iceland which I think went well. After that they went down to a place called Reykjavik Roadhouse where some of the people from the jam (including me and my friend) met them again. There we just chatted and talked to them about Iceland etc. It was very nice spending so much time with them and getting to know them better.
Thank you Louis and Dave for everything and for inspiring me so much!
